A series of mini workshops are being conducted to help prepare faculty for the transition to the D2L Brightspace learning management system in Fall 2023 and to gather feedback from early adopters.

The earner of this badge attended "Introduction to D2L Brightspace: Interface overview". This mini workshop will familiarize the user with the basic elements of the D2L Brightspace learning environment. The purpose of this mini workshop is to introduce faculty to the new NCC learning management system that will be implemented in Fall 2023. A series of mini workshops will be created to help prepare faculty for this transition and to gather feedback from early adopters.

Faculty will gain knowledge of two ways to use the course builder feature to assist in organize or edit their migrated course from Blackboard or to build a new course in D2L Brightspace Learning management system .The learner a variety of valuable resources to successfully prepare for the upcoming change in the NCC learning management system.

The earner of this badge attended “D2L Brightspace Overview & Editor Bootcamp.” This workshop introduces faculty to the new NCC Learning Management System (LMS) to be implemented for the 2023 fall semester and familiarizes users with the basic elements of the D2L Brightspace Editor.

The earner of this badge attended the "Department Migration Course Preparation Workshop." This workshop introduces faculty to the new NCC Learning Management System (LMS) to be implemented for the 2023 Fall semester, instructs how to create a sandbox in Brightspace, provides a checklist and tutorial on performing a Blackboard course cleanup.

The earner of this badge has successfully piloted the D2L Brightspace learning management system (LMS) during summer semester 2023. Faculty provided valuable input and feedback during a testing period before full campus implementation of the LMS in Fall 2023.

This mini workshop will familiarize the user with the specific tool in the Brightspace Editor called “Insert Stuff”. This tool allows faculty to add content materials from their computer, as well as Video Notes, YouTube, Flickr, and web links. This is part of a series of workshops to prepare faculty for the transition to D2L Brightspace.
